How do I set up Call Routing?

In order to set up call routing, please follow the instructions provided below:- First log in to your VOIPo vPanel Account Management Tool
- Click "Features" tab at the top of the page
- Then select "Call Routes" directly below the "Contacts" tab
Incoming Routes
In the drop down menu to the right of "Call Route Type" there are five (5) possible selections. Each selection, other than "All Unknown Contacts" brings up another field and drop down menu directly below "Call Route Type." We will discuss how to create routes for each of the five (5) Call Route Types when selected from the drop down menu:
Group- When selected this brings up a field aptly named "Group"
- From this drop down menu, select the name of the group you wish to route
- Next, select the action you would like to be taken in the drop down menu to the right of "Call Route Action"
- When you select the desired action to be taken, click the "Create" button within the "Incoming Routes" subcategory
- The action you selected will now take place whenever anyone from this group calls your VOIPo number
Contact - When selected a field named "Contact" shows up directly below "Call Route Type"
- From this new drop down menu, select the name of the contact you wish to route
- Next, select the action you would like to be taken in the drop down menu to the right of "Call Route Action"
- When you select the desired action to be taken, click the "Create" button within the "Incoming Routes" subcategory
- The action you selected will now take place whenever this contact calls your VOIPo number
Contact Number - When selected a field named "Contact" shows up directly below "Call Route Type"
- From this new drop down menu, select the name of the contact you wish to route
- Select the specific contact's number you wish to route in the drop down menu "Contact Number"
- Next, select the action you would like to be taken in the drop down menu to the right of "Call Route Action"
- When you select the desired action to be taken, click the "Create" button within the "Incoming Routes" subcategory
- The action you selected will now take place whenever this contact calls your VOIPo phone from the specific number you routed
Phone Number - When selected a field named "Custom Number" shows up directly below "Call Route Type"
- In the field "Custom Number" enter the specific number you wish to route
- Next, select the action you would like to be taken in the drop down menu to the right of "Call Route Action"
- When you select the desired action to be taken, click the "Create" button within the "Incoming Routes" subcategory
- The action you selected will now take place whenever this number calls your VOIPo number
All Unknown Contacts - When selected no new field will appear below
- Select the action you wish to be taken for numbers that are not in your contact list
- Click the "Create" button within the "Incoming Routes" subcategory
- The action you selected will now take place whenever a number that is not in your contact list calls
Outgoing Routes
To route outgoing calls please follow the instructions provided below: - In the "Phone Number" field in the "Outbound Routes" subcategory, enter the Phone number you wish to route
- In the field "Call Route Action," select the action you wish to be taken when dialing this number
- Click the "Create" button within the "Outgoing Routes" subcategory
- The action you selected will now take place whenever a user places a call to the specified number
All functional routes will be displayed directly under "Incoming Routes" or "Outbound Routes." You can delete any routes by selecting the check box and pressing the "Remove" button.
